Farmer-Led Extension Course Graduation Ceremony

Metta organised a three-month season long Farmer-Led Extension (FLE) Course on Sustainable Agriculture at Centre for Action Research and Demonstration (CARD) situated near Alam village 15 miles far from Myitkyina, the capital of Kachin State. The course started on 6 July 2017 and graduated on 04 October, 2017. 21 participants (18 male and 3 female) who are representatives of 6 local organisations from different parts of Myanmar successfully completed the three-month training. They learned technical skills on sustainable agriculture, livestock raising, and natural resource management. The graduation ceremony was held on 4 October 2017 at CARD and attended by government officials from Agriculture Department, civil society organisation leaders, NGO staff, community leaders and farmers. FLE training is one of the many training organised every year in CARD between June and September.
