Monitoring and Evaluation Assessment Workshop

Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Assessment Workshop was organised by Metta Head Office Programme Department on 9 – 10 October 2017 at Centre for Development Workers, in Bago. 25 participants from Head Office and field offices took part in the assessment workshop.

The overall objective of the workshop is to facilitate a space for participants to learn more, think, and discuss about the role that Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) should play in Metta’s organisation and also on its project implementation, thus setting the basis for an action plan.

This first participative step, during which the exercise will facilitate to identify strength and weaknesses of the current practices, is key for the future recognition and effective implementation of an M&E organisational system. The exercise will also help the consultant and the M&E core team to come up with a plan, avoiding dramatic modifications in the existing scenario, proceeding instead with agreed changes oriented to create a sense of ownership among the staff members. Specifically, the workshop will provide elements for prioritisation of key areas for improvements of the M&E internal practices, materials and resources.

The workshop identified the key priority areas for building organisational M&E system and the next step to follow is M&E system development by the M&E core team with support of the consultant.
